Telephone Appointments

We offer telephone appointments with a doctor at the surgery. Our receptionists will make sure that a telephone appointment in the most suitable appointment type by asking you a number of questions. This is to ensure that you are provided with the most appropriate care as there are several medical matters that require a face to face appointment. Telephone appointments can be extremely helpful and offer an effective, prompt way to review medical matters. When discussing results, medication, or requesting further tests, telephone appointments are preferred. If the clinician assesses the clinical situation and decides you need to be seen face to face, they will advise you of this and request a face to face appointment be arranged. Appointments with a doctor can be made up to two weeks in advance. You can book an appointment with any of our doctors at the surgery. Appointments for nurses, health care assistants, and blood tests appointments can be made several weeks in advance.

Please be aware that we are unable to provide a time for telephone appointments. On most occasions we are able to provide a time frame, eg. morning or afternoon, however, this cannot be guaranteed and there are multiple clinicians that cannot issue a suggested time frame the telephone appointment will occur. If this is problematic, we kindly ask you to book a face to face appointment.

We request that you are by the telephone all day and ensure you have signal as the clinician will only call back once.

Please also confirm that your telephone number is up to date and correct when booking the appointment.

We would kindly request and remind our patients that please, in the first instance follow the guidance we have provided on our website and those on the NHS websites.
