Our Practice Area covers Saltdean, Rottingdean, Woodingdean, and Ovingdean  //   The Surgery Phone Lines are Closed between 1pm and 2pm daily // We are closed on Friday March 29th and Monday April 1st due to the bank holiday.   

Clinics & Services

Chronic Disease Clinic (Asthma/COPD/Diabetes/Stroke/Heart Disease)

Annual reviews are carried out and patients will be invited to attend the surgery. It is essential that they respond to these invitations for their wellbeing. (Depending on current restrictions) 

Child Immunisations

These are held every Wednesday afternoon.

Ear Syringing

The practice nurses are able to carry our ear syringing once you have seen a doctor/nurse practitioner and have applied oil to your ears for two weeks.

Over 75’s Health Check

This is an annual health check offered by the surgery which involves having your height, weight and blood pressure taken. Book at reception with our Health Care Assistant.

NHS/Lifestyle Check

The surgery offers this health check to everyone aged between 40 and 74 if you do not have any previously diagnosed chronic diseases such as diabetes. This will involve having a fasting blood test and your height, weight and blood pressure taken. This test is done every five years. Please call the surgery to book an appointment with our Health Care Assistant. 

Phlebotomy Clinics (Blood Tests)

We have trained phlebotomist’s at the Surgery who take blood,  clinics currently run Every morning Monday to Friday. We have a courier that collects the samples by 11:00 Monday to Friday. We are unable to keep samples overnight.

Please note we do not provide blood tests for children under 12. Under 12’s will need be taken to the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.

All blood tests must be authorised by a GP or Hospital consultant patients must bring correct documentation to appointment. 

Cytology (Smear Tests)

It is strongly recommended that women have a cervical smear at three yearly intervals from the age of 25 up to the age of 50, then five yearly from aged 50 -65. You will be contacted by the NHS when your smear is due and you will need to contact the surgery to arrange an appointment. Ideally smear tests are carried out when you are mid cycle.

Cryotherapy (Wart Clinic)

Cryotherapy Clinics for the removal of warts are held once a month on an Afternoon. You will have to have been seen by a doctor or Advanced Nurse Practitioner before these appointments can be made to ascertain whether this course of treatment is appropriate for you.

Dressings/Stitch Removal

These are carried out by our nurses. Please make an appointment.
