Patient Participation Group
Our patients know better than anyone what it is like to use this practice, and we would love your help to make it better. We are setting up a new Patient Participation Group (PPG), and this is your chance to help shape it from the very start.
A Patient Participation Group is a small group of patients who meet with the practice team a few times a year to share ideas and help improve the care we offer. It is not a place to raise a complaint or discuss your own medical care. It is about working together to make the practice better for everyone.
What the group does
As a member, you might:
- share your experience of the practice, the good and the not so good
- give a patient’s view on changes we are planning
- help us understand what matters most to patients
- help us reach the wider community and support health campaigns
Why it is worth joining
- You have a real say in how your practice runs.
- You help improve care for your family, your neighbours and your community.
- You get to know your practice and the wider NHS a little better.
- You meet others who care about local healthcare.
It is easier than you think
- You do not need any experience or medical knowledge, just an interest in your practice.
- It does not take much time. We plan to meet only a few times a year.
- You do not have to come to every meeting.
- If you cannot attend in person, you can take part by email instead.
Everyone is welcome
We want our group to reflect everyone we care for, so we would especially like to hear from people whose voices are not always heard. You are welcome whatever your age or background, whether you are a parent or carer, live with a long-term condition or disability, or come from any of our communities in Saltdean, Rottingdean, Woodingdean and Ovingdean.
