Meet the team
Our practice is made up of doctors, nurses and a wide range of other health professionals, all working together to look after you. You do not always need to see a GP. Often another member of the team is the right person to help, and can see you sooner. Here is who we are and what each of us does.
Our clinical team
Doctors
Our GPs look after the full range of your health needs, from everyday illnesses to long-term conditions. Every patient has a named GP with overall responsibility for their care, but you are welcome to see any of our doctors. For urgent problems you may be offered the first available clinician rather than your usual GP.

Advanced nurse practitioner
Our advanced nurse practitioner is a senior, highly experienced nurse who can assess, diagnose and treat many of the same problems as a GP, including a lot of urgent and same day illnesses. They can examine you, request tests and prescribe where needed, so seeing them often means being seen sooner.

Nursing team
Our practice nurses and healthcare assistants run a wide range of clinics, including long-term condition reviews, vaccinations, wound care, blood tests and health checks. They work closely with the GPs and are often the right people to see for routine and preventative care.

If you have a muscle, joint or back problem, you can often see one of our first contact physiotherapists instead of a GP. They are senior physiotherapists who can assess, diagnose and advise on the best treatment, and arrange tests, referrals or a prescription where needed, so you get to the right help sooner.

Pharmacy team
Our pharmacists are medicines experts. They carry out medication reviews, help you get the most from your prescriptions, support people with long-term conditions, and can treat a range of minor illnesses. Our pharmacy technician helps keep prescriptions and medicines running smoothly behind the scenes. Seeing the pharmacy team for these things often means a quicker appointment than waiting for a GP.

Our mental health practitioner supports patients experiencing problems such as low mood, anxiety and stress. They can talk through what you are going through, help you find the right treatment or support, and connect you with local services.

Social prescriber
Our social prescriber helps with the things that affect your health but are not strictly medical, such as loneliness, money or housing worries, or staying active and connected. They take the time to understand what matters to you and connect you with local groups, services and support.

Practice management
Denise leads the day to day running of the practice and the team behind the scenes. Most of your contact will be with our clinical and reception teams, but you may meet Denise if you have a query, suggestion or concern about the practice itself.
Denise McSween
Practice Manager
Reception and administration team
Our reception and administration team are usually your first point of contact. When you get in touch, they may ask a few questions about your problem. This is not to pry. We now work in a way called total triage, where our triage team reviews every request and decides the right type of appointment for you. The details our receptionists take are passed straight to the triage team, so the more they can note down, the better we can match you to the right person and book you in the right place. Anything you tell them is treated in confidence. The team also looks after prescriptions, results, referrals and the many other tasks that keep the practice running smoothly.
